Bareilly Ki Barfi remake option for Naga Chaitanya?
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya who has delivered back to back commercially flop movies (Shailaja Reddy Alludu and Savyasachi) in 2018 , is currently sharing the screen space with Samantha Akkineni in upcoming romantic and family entertainer Majili, which is progressing at brisk pace in the direction of Shiva Nirvana. If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, Naga Chaitanya, the elder son of King Nagarjuna will be seen playing the lead role in Telugu remake of Bollywood hit movie Bareilly ki Barfi .
Bareilly Ki Barfi is a romantic comedy film, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari in which Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao played the lead role. The film was released in 2018 and turned out to be both a critical and a commercial success at the box office. Bareilly Ki Barfi is based on the French novel The Ingredients of Love, written by Nicolas Barreau.
Ever since, People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation acquired the remake rights of the Bollywood movie Bareilly Ki Barfi , they have been on the lookout for a young actor to star in the Telugu version. While the filmmakers have approached a few actors, but now they are planning to approach Akkineni Naga Chaitanya.
Earlier Naga Chaitanya has acted in Premam the remake of Malayalam film of the same title. Now once again, the young actor is keen to remake another film. This time, Nagarjuna’s son is showing his interest to star in the Telugu remake of Bollywood’s Bareilly ki Barfi.
Naga Chaitanya was last seen in Chandoo Mondeti’s Savyasachi in which he shared the screen space with Niddhi Agerwal. With this action entertainer, Kollywood actor R Madhavan made his comeback in Telugu film Industry after a long gap and played the role of antagonist. But the film was turned out commercially flop.
The sources say that Naga Chaitanya likes Bollywood movies and expressed his desire to act in remake of Bollywood movie Bareilly Ki Barfi .
