Stunner: Chiru And Charans True-Lies
Controversy clouds have been hovering around Mega Star Chiranjeevi's highly anticipated patriotic biographical film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy as the film is racing for a grand release on October 2nd.
Protests by the desendants of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in front of Mega Star Chiranjeevi's house and their threats to file cases against Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi and filmmakers by failing to keep their promise of financial assistance, came as a shock to all.
Chiranjeevi during the promos, when asked about the controversy, countered saying that the desendants demanded a whopping Rs 50crs for the 23 families. He even quoted the Supreme Court ruling which enables anyone to make a film on public personalities and citied that the family members need not to be paid any royalty. He even questioned whether The makers of Gandhi, Manikarnika etc paid royalty to the descendants. He said they may think of doing something to Uyyalawada village if Sye Raa gets profits.
Now Uyyalawada descendants speaking to scribes revealed that they are withdrawing all the cases they filed against the filmmakers. They alleged that they never demanded 2crs for each of the 23 families as told by Chiranjeevi and accused the Mega star of telling lies. They said his son and producer Ram Charan was telling the truth and that they have asked only Rs 15 lakhs per family.
