Thats The Difference Between Chiru And Dasari!
Dasari Narayana Rao used to be the father figure of the industry resolving all the problems whenever they arose. After his death, Tollywood is left in disarray. Even before Dasari Narayana Rao took the lead, the industry used to suffer from various groups. But with the entry of Dasari Narayana Rao, as he made himself accessible and available to each and everyone, while many supported him wholeheartedly and few relented reluctantly.
After his death, a huge vacuum is felt in the industry. No one knew whom to approach when problems arose and with associations like MAA, Producers Council and Directors Council suffering from infighting, people stopped approaching them and used to suffer silently.
None of the influential stars be it Krishna, Krishnam Raju, Murali Mohan, Mohan Babu have taken the initiative to resolve the differences. The same is the case with Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and Nagarjuna and their political affiliations triggered numerous differences.
In the aftermath of the corona crisis, Chiranjeevi started taking the initiative and no one opposed it till Balakrishna launched a sensational attack. Sources say Chiranjeevi was initially reluctant to take the mantle of the father figure and finally he relented after these years.
When Balakrishna launched a scathing attack, many like C.Kalyan said they are looking for a powerful face in the industry who commands respect from all quarters and felt Chiranjeevi to be the one. Anil Sunkara also says that Chiranjeevi could garner funds and he helped the workers and technicians who are suffering due to the lockdown. He adds that at present Chiranjeevi is the right person to lead the industry.
Tummala Prasanna Kumar, general Secretary, Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce says Dasari is irreplaceable as Dasari who was a trade union leader turned filmmaker used to patiently listen to the workers to solve the problems. He said he used to solve the issues of production boys, lightmen, and spot boys and always used to consult trade union leaders and opened film chambers at midnight to solve the issues which were not the case with Chiranjeevi. He said Chiranjeevi already ignored trade body leaders and directly held meetings with the ministers. He said during his meeting with CM KCR, he even ignored Narayan Das K Narang, president of the apex body.
Teja, the director says Chiranjeevi should involve all industry people to understand the problems thoroughly from different angles, and only then he can gain their confidence. Prasanna Kumar says Chiranjeevi is inaccessible and even top stars should wait for long to get his appointment. C Kalyan however rubbishes the allegations saying Chiranjeevi is accessible and will become more so in the coming days. He said the kind of allegations were the main reason why Chiranjeevi was reluctant to take the lead earlier.
