Rs 125 Cr deal for Kanchana remake
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role in upcoming movie Laxmmi Bomb, which is remake of Tamil film Kanchana. According to the latest update, the film Laxmmi Bomb has been sold for a whopping amount of Rs 125 crore which makes it the biggest ever Hindi film purchase for an OTT platform.
As per our sources, Disney Hotstar bought Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb for a whopping 125 Cr, and the traders say that it is the costliest buy of any OTT platform. One must not forget is that it had the potential of earning over 300 crore at the box office, despite a clash with Salman Khan starrer Radhe. Raghava Lawrence is making his directorial debut in Hindi film industry with the remake of Kanchana.
Few experts are saying that this horror-comedy movie starrer Laxmmi Bomb can earn more than 300 cores if it had a theatrical release. Few are also saying that the makers of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ should have to wait till the theatres reopen.
It is being heard that the makers are waiting for another month to announce the release of Laxmmi Bomb on Disney + Hotstar. Currently Akshay Kumar starrer is in post production stage The makers are currently waiting for the government to give some freedom to the filmmakers to complete their pending films.
