The film industry is facing a tough time in the wake of the Corona epidemic. Movie releases are stalled and theatres are closed for the past five months. Tollywood makers are coming forward to release films on digital platforms like OTTs to come out of the losses.

Already many movies have been released on OTT platforms. Now releases are also gaining momentum in Tollywood. The Direct OTT release method is welcomed as it is not known when theaters will reopen in the current circumstances. Except for one or two big movies, all small-medium range movies are being released in OTT. Everyone is of the opinion that a large percentage of producers are releasing their films digitally as they are unable to pay the interest on the money they got to finance the films.

However, there are comments in OTT circles that the real secret behind this is different. Currently, all the small films that have completed shooting in Tollywood are getting ready for OTT release. However, it seems that all the small and medium-range makers are coming forward due to the pressure coming from the financiers to release their films on OTTs.

The talk is that big producers are behind the financiers putting pressure on the small producers. The talk is that big producers are doing this with the insecurity that if the theaters open in the coming days, the small movies with craze will compete with the big movies in the theaters. It seems that all the films currently being released on OTT have been financed by the producers for huge amounts.
