Janhvi Kapoor to replace Nayantara
Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, was last seen playing the role of the first Indian women Air Force pilots in Karan Johar’ Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, and now she is looking forward to the release of her horror-comedy, Roohi Afzana. And while the Dinesh Vijan production venture Roohi Afzana is awaiting for theatres to reopen to hit the screens, Janhvi Kapoor has signed her next project.
According to the latest update, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to reprise the role of lady superstar Nayantara in a crime comedy movie, which is remake of 2018 hit, Kolamavu Kokila helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Janhvi starrer remake will be helmed by Siddharth Sengupta and bankrolled by Aanand L Rai under the banner of Colour Yellow Productions.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor will play the role of a young girl who gets involved in drug racket to earn quick money.
Siddharth Sengupta who has previously worked as an Assistant director in movies like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Agneepath, and Heartless. Siddharth Sengupta has earlier co-directed a mini-series The Great Escape with the other two directors in 2016. This upcoming remake starring Dhadak girl Janhvi Kapoor will be full-fledged directorial debut.
