Purandeswaris Selection: Modis Blunder with Venkaiah Advice?

A significant development in AP BJP's politics is that the party's leader Purandeswari was conferred the BJP's general secretary. It could've been a routine exercise had no caste politics and other factors been involved in Purandeswari's selection. 

Sadly, PM Narendra Modi is said to have committed the biggest blunder in offering Purandeswari a key post removing GVL from 'Party's spokesman' post. 

Soon Purandeswari got elected the BJP's general secretary, a caste based newspaper 'Een***' published an interview of hers in the first page and made her opinion expressed on Amaravati quite favourably. Needless to say, Purandeswari would support the TDP on caste and 'close kin' relation backdrop. 

According to a gossip, Purandeswari was offered the post as per vice president Venkaiah Naidu's advice. 

On the other hand, some analysts are suspecting the latest move of Modi is intended to clear decks to get allied with the TDP in AP. And the media baron is alleged to have turned the mediator for this possible tie up of TDP and BJP.

But then, analysts opined BJP would incur heavy loss with the alliance of the TDP which is losing all its glory post the humiliating defeat in general polls, 2019.

Sensing the possible alliance of BJP and TDP, Vijay Sai Reddy tweeted, "పురంధేశ్వరి ఈరోజు ఈనాడుకు ఇచ్చిన ఇంటర్వ్యూతో, అందులో రాజధాని, ప్రభుత్వ పనితీరు అంశాలపై వ్యక్తం చేసిన అభిప్రాయాలతో ఆమె జాతీయ నాయకురాలో, జాతి నాయకురాలో పూర్తిగా స్పష్టమైంది. బీజేపీ జాతీయ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి(పురంధేశ్వరి)గారు తనకన్నా ముందే టీడీపీ జాతీయ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి అయిన తన పుత్ర సమానుడు(లోకేష్)గారితో పోటీపడి వారి స్క్రిప్టే మాట్లాడుతున్నందుకు ఆమెకు అభినందనలు..!"
