AP to follow Centre’s ideas in building Polavaram project Construction of the Polavaram project had remained an unknown mystery of the government of Andhra Pradesh for years. Now, the ruling government had told the Centre that it would build the Polavaram project based on the designs proposed by the Central government. This decision was taken by the AP state government at the virtual meeting of the Polavaram Project Authority and the Union Jal Shakthi Ministry with the representatives of different states like AP, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. Among these, Chhattisgarh and Telangana have expressed doubts over the back waters of the project.
